Walked away — easily

.

Title — Goddess and Devil
Scene: The One Who Walked Away

“No,” she muttered, tone sharp and dry like the slap of reality against poetry.
“You don’t even know me, Rajvardhan.”

Her eyes rolled — not in fear, not even in anger. Just annoyance.
Like he was a hiccup in her night, and she had maths to deal with.

And that’s when—

He moved.

Fast. Ruthless. Trained.

The gun was ripped from her hand and flung across the wet pavement with a harsh clatter, skidding over puddles like metal regret.

But she?

She just smiled.

Not surprised. Not shaken.

She stretched.

Arms overhead, spine arching with that slow grace of a cat who’d just finished playing with her prey. Her drenched beige frock pulled taut around her knees, water running down her calves, pearls on her heels glistening like stars in mud.

“Seriously need sleep,” she mumbled, yawning again — lips parting, lashes fluttering. She didn’t look at the twenty men who still had her in their scopes.

She looked only at him.

“Next time,” she added, voice low but clear, “I’ll make sure you don’t get to waste my time.”

Another yawn. Another step.
She turned.

And walked away.

Easily.
Too easily.
Like the devil behind her was nothing but a detour.

Her footsteps clicked on the pavement, echoed between the alley walls, soft against the static of rain still falling in sheets. The gun lay in a puddle behind her. His men watched in frozen awe, unsure whether to shoot or salute.

And he—
Aatharv Pratap Rajvardhan

Didn’t say a word.

Didn’t move.

Just… stood.

Soaked to the bone.
A gun no longer in hand.
The pulse in his neck louder than the storm above.

She was the first.

The first woman who dared to breathe near his ear — not in worship, not in fear, but in warning.

The first woman to press a gun to his forehead, not to beg for mercy, but to yawn.

The first woman to command his hand — his gun — to kill her, like it was a game she knew she could win.

The first woman with no mask. No paint. No heels tall enough to buy her confidence.
Just a college girl.
Still a student.
Still dangerous.
Still… his undoing.

She had a math exam tomorrow.

She hadn’t even studied.

And she walked away untouched.
Unbothered.
Unclaimed.

Unscarred.

Aatharv had never held women.
Never fucked them.
Never needed to.

They were weaknesses for men who didn’t already rule kingdoms.

But her?

She didn’t look back.

Didn’t pause.

Didn’t need to.

And damn if he could ever forget her.

Because in a world of obedient dolls and polished threats—

She was the first woman who didn’t want him.
Didn’t want anything.

And now, she was the only one he wanted.
