Twenty guns and one Smile

Title — Goddess and Devil
Scene: Twenty Guns, One Smile

Just as his gun dipped — not fully, just enough —
she moved.

Swift. Clean. Practiced.

Before Aatharv could even process, the weapon was no longer in his hand.

It was in hers.

Effortless.
Like she’d done it a hundred times in a hundred darker alleys.

She turned the barrel up — elegant, steady — and pressed it to his forehead.

Click.

Finger not trembling. Safety still off.

Her other hand?
Casually turned her wrist so she could glance at the time.

A small yawn followed.

As if she was bored.
As if standing at gunpoint with a devil’s soul beneath her finger was no more urgent than checking the weather.

“Damn,” she mumbled, head tilting, her bun now fully undone, hair clinging to her cheeks like wild poetry.
“You’re a waste of time.”

She shook her head slowly, like she truly pitied him.

Then—

Footsteps.

Fast.

Metal clicks.

The soft shiver of triggers being readied.
A signal. A lock-on. A death-call.

She didn’t need to look to know what happened.
His watch. Of course. His guards had tracked him through it. Reinforcements.

She heard it: the slick slide of twenty safeties being turned off.

Twenty barrels.

Twenty men.

All pointed at her.

And she?

She laughed.

A chuckle.
Soft.
Sweet.
Almost… gentle.

Like the whisper of a lullaby before a massacre.

She didn’t flinch.

Didn’t turn the gun away.

Didn’t move.

Only her eyes shifted — slid to the side just slightly, to glance at one of the men holding his weapon a little too tightly.

“Really?” she said, amused. “You brought your entire army because a girl got too close?”

Aatharv stood still — the gun to his forehead, her breath ghosting his lips, and his own men behind her, a step away from obliterating her.

He should’ve barked an order.
Should’ve pulled her hand away.
Should’ve ended it.

But he didn’t.

Because in this moment—

She owned him.

Not with a kiss.
Not with love.
But with power so quiet, it made his entire empire feel like a child’s toy in her palm.

Her eyes found his again.

“I’ll give you five seconds,” she whispered.

“To tell your dogs to lower their guns.”

A pause.

Her finger twitched ever so slightly on the trigger.

“Or you’ll be dead,” she added softly, “and they’ll never make it out alive.”

And she said it so beautifully.

Like she meant it.

Like she had done it before.
