Goddess and Devil.
Title — Goddess and Devil
Midnight.
The hour of secrets, when even the stars dared not witness the sins of mortals.
Aahana Desai — twenty-two, beautiful, cold-blooded — ran through the rain-slicked streets with her breath ragged, her pulse drumming like war drums beneath her ribs. The scent of gunpowder and lavender clung to her like a second skin. Smoke still whispered from the barrel. She didn’t look back.
She didn’t need to.
Behind her, he walked.
Aatharv Pratap Rajvardhan — thirty-two, tycoon, predator. The kind of man who never chased unless he meant to catch, and never caught unless he intended to kill.
His black shirt clung to his body, soaked and half unbuttoned, sleeves rolled to the elbows. Veins coiled down his forearms like ropes ready to strangle. His hair, usually swept back in effortless control, now hung wild — chaos licking at the edges of his restraint. Clean-shaven jaw clenched tight, sharp enough to cut glass.
The three-piece suit was incomplete now — the blazer had been thrown somewhere, discarded like mercy. His boots hit the pavement with thunderous weight, deliberate, inevitable. Each step echoed in the silence like the countdown to judgement.
One hand remained in his trouser pocket, deceptively casual — though the watch on his wrist, minimalistic yet monstrous in value, gleamed under the streetlight like a crown of power.
The other hand?
It spun a gun.
A sleek black beauty, metal kissed by moonlight and murder. The safety was off.
The devil didn’t run. He walked.
She had succeeded — the hit was clean. But at what cost?
Because the devil she was sent to kill refused to die.
